The Ideate Funding Opportunities application provides a comprehensive electronic management system for the development, review, and management of internal and external Funding Opportunities, and provides an intuitive search capability. The Funding Opportunities application provides for rich descriptions, as well the capture of Funding Opportunity specific forms, rules and links to source information. The Funding Opportunities application is tightly integrated with Ideate’s Pre-Award Grants application.

The ability to model Sponsor and/or Funding Opportunity specific forms that can be automatically associated with related applications.

The Funding Opportunities application includes a utility for 'harvesting' Funding Opportunities from third-party websites. As long as a website follows common conventions for listing and defining Funding Opportunities, the utility can be set to automatically inspect the website at regular intervals looking for new Opportunities to add to the database. Note: third-party databases are subject to change without notice so the Client needs to expect routine effort to maintain such capabilities.
New Funding Opportunities added to the database can be put through a review/approval process. Ability to define complex rules-driven workflow with automatic notifications via system tasks and email. Workflow supports complex sequential and parallel reviews. Features line item commenting that streamlines reviews and improves collaboration. Can support pre-reviews for screening proposed research before applications are fully developed. Committee reviews can also be integrated in workflow.
