The Ideate Conflict of Interest (COI) application provides a comprehensive electronic management system for the development, review, and management of potential COI. It facilitates close collaboration of researchers,  department administrators, associated research personnel, department heads, COI Office staff, and officials. Logic-driven forms guide users through applicable requirements based on the attributes of the Conflict. The system automates task assignments and distribution of COI communications. The application provides Office Management support including Award tracking and reporting.  The Conflict of Interest application is tightly integrated with Ideate’s Pre-Award Grants application.

The ability to model forms for self-reporting relevant associations that can be reviewed independently, but remain associated with the individual's profile as an overall Conflict of Interest 'Case' file. Ideate's approach provides a mechanism for managing Conflicts of Interest from start date to last day of employment as a collection of formal submissions in order to preserve a detailed audit history of each, while managing them collectively as a single person Conflict of Interest Case file.
